Westrail Construction Ltd. is a family owned and operated drilling and blasting company that operates across Western Canada.  The Railton family has operated Westrail Construction Ltd. for over 30 years and in that time Westrail has completed some of the largest drilling and blasting projects in the country.

Westrail owns and operates all of it's own drilling equipment and utilizes some of the latest innovations in technology for the drilling and blasting industry.  Westrail even developed their own proprietary drilling and blasting software to improve job efficiency.

Some of the larger projects Westrail has been a part of include a 12yr program of drilling, blasting ,blast engineering at Mclean Lake Sask. for AREVA resources, Endako Mine, Gibraltar Mines, Coal Mountain, Fording River Operations, Green Hills Operation, Line Creek Mine, B.C. Highways, CN and CP Rail, Rabbit Lake mine.

Our fleet of seven drills can drill holes from 6.5 inches up to 10 5/8" inch hole. We have worked closely with northern communities in training and also employing their services locally wherever possible.
